About Us
Atiwo Designs is a unique brand of African-inspired handmade jewelry, located in Seattle, WA.
The founder, Dorianne Attiogbé, reignited her passion for crafting earrings in early 2020, as she grew tired of wearing the same mass-produced pieces as everyone else. During the pandemic, she utilized her time to explore new mediums and ultimately fell in love with polymer clay, leading to the inception of Atiwo Designs.
Dorianne has a multicultural background, having been born and raised in Paris, France, to a Beninese mother and a Togolese father. At 24 years old, she migrated to the US to pursue her career as an engineer, and is now a proud resident of Seattle. Atiwo Designs is her way of celebrating the diverse cultures that she experienced while growing up.
A few words from the artist
For The Cultures That Make You “You”
Atiwo Designs is an ode to my African heritage sprinkled with hints of all the other cultures that live within me. It’s a reflection of women embracing their uniqueness and rejecting predefined boxes.
I craft all of my pieces by hand with love and passion, using mainly polymer clay and African beads. Many of my creations have Ewe names (language from Togo, West Africa) to tie them to my parents' culture. The designs are vibrant, colorful, and loud but also elegant, elevated, and refined. A mix of two worlds, just like me. Guaranteed to make a statement.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will see yourself in these creations.
With Love,
Dorianne
